I can post on my own

Sure, the app does as described. However, if I want to share an article that read using V., I would rather reserve the right to promote the app than have a V ad inserted into my post. I should have the right to share this info on my own.

Great app

Does exactly as it says hope this gets new features in the future tho ^_^

Great app for reading

This is a great app for reading through your reading list quickly. It removes all the garbage, the standard fonts the pictures and ads from what would normally bog down an article and it gives you the information in a very efficient manner. Also to note is they have excellent customer service. I was unsure on how to delete articles from my cache and within 48 hours they responded. The only thing that stops this being a full 5 is at this time it isnt integrate with my book apps or newsstand and that would make this app 100% efficient at helping one digest their reading lists.

Very impressive

Very clean, easy to use interface. This really is a great way to get through your Pocket queue. The time to read each article is helpful. There is some room for improvement, such as a universal iPad build and options to temporarily slow down on slightly longer words.

Fantastic!

Enjoying this the more that I use it. Really makes me focus and able to absorb what I am reading.

Good app, but...

There is no iPad version, and the app icon is pixilated on the iPad mini

It works and its awesome

This app really works and the integration with Pocket has fundamentally changed the way I read news.

Great app but..

1st, it is a great app that really does help reading faster. 2nd, there is a but, where is the iPad version and/or why isnt it universal to use on both?

Great reading app...

Pffff...an iPad app any time soon?

Does not read from iBooks.

Disappointing.

Like the Matrix

Amazing. Great way to train yourself.

awesome!! and could get better

long and short words flash for the same duration. I cant read "idiosyncrasy" as fast as I can read "man" so it would be nice if long words flashed for longer. Or if multiple short words flashed together, like: "the man has an" (all at once, followed by) "idiosyncrasy". it would also be great if there was a blank flash after a period to help separate sentences, and a longer blank after a paragraph. And when paused it should/could zoom out to the full text so you can find your spot, then select a word to zoom in and start speed reading again. And if it picked up on bold and italics, etc that would help be distinguish between headlines and body of text, etc in articles. and ebooks?? love this app and hoping it can get more perfect!

Awesome speed reading app

Im really impressed with this app for speed reading. It is very fluid and easy to use!

Very Pleased

Does EXACTLY what it says. Ive waited years for an app like this!

Takes concentration

This ap makes me work. I am distracted easily while reading and this method keeps me on task and focused. I can see how this program will make me a more efficient reader. It was a little tough to figure out how to add content but now its easy. Some sources dont seem to transfer. I only use pocket so far.

The Best Speed Reader App

This app is wonderful. It helps me speed up my reading. I really know why Im slow reader due to this app. It also helps me prepare for national tests, schoolwork, and staying current. This also helps me become an avid reader so that I too can appreciate the art of reading. Thank YOU.

Potential is there...

With Spritz (Google it) coming out in April, Velocity needs to make sure it doesnt fall behind. It needs to support plain text. Why can I load a NY Times article, but I cant load any classics/public domain in plain text from gutenberg.org (if this is a problem with Gutenberg, please advise?. Tried reading a few Wikipedia articles to no avail. Is this only meant for news articles? Your website is nice and clean, some explanatory links would be nice. Besides this, it has a really nice and easy to use interface. The articles that do load are easy to read, but as other users have mentioned, it could use some tweaking to smooth out the flow by providing users with cues when commas, periods, quotes, new paragraphs, etc., appear. Also, itd be great if we could zoom out and select our place.

Makes reading fast easy and fun

Wow, this app is cool!

Wow

I heard about this app almost a year ago and finally decided to try it. Its amazing! Very impressed.

Simply Amazing!

As a child Ive never enjoyed reading as much of my friends did. However, as I grew older I started to learn the value of reading as I became more interested in what I wanted to do for the rest of life. As a stereotypical introvert who always prefers to listen rather than talk in large discussions, reading books became a new hobby of mine (as my synapses started to spark and retrieve messages from one word to another). Unfortunately I would have a consistently annoying mental block, where as for some reason in certain parts of the page, sentence, or paragraph, I would temporarily read abnormally slow trying to catch that word or idea. The solution was the fact that my mind was struggling to figure out what the words themselves meant rather than grasping the whole general idea. However, because of this fascinating and helpful new app, it trained my eyes to become more fixated on each word so that my eyes dont wander, as i try to read and grasp the idea at the same time. Conversely with the speed of each individual word constantly flashing before your eyes, creates a mutual synergetic phenomena, in which not only this tactic can allow your brain to process information WAY MORE EFFICIENTLY, but your reading speed will increase dramatically; I guess a good metaphor would be like Bruce Banner turning into the Incredible Hulk.
